Your Role and Responsibilities
Patient Care & Clinical Services
- Dispense medications safely and accurately
- Provide expert advice to patients on treatments and medicines
- Monitor patient outcomes and maintain accurate records
- Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals
NHS & Private Healthcare Services
- Deliver NHS services such as Pharmacy First, blood pressure checks, and vaccinations
- Expand private services including travel health and weight management clinics
- Ensure all services are compliant and well-documented
Service Development & Community Engagement
- Encourage uptake of pharmacy services
- Build strong relationships within the local community
- Lead initiatives that promote healthcare awareness
Dispensing & Accuracy
- Perform final prescription checks
- Ensure safe and compliant dispensing processes
- Provide clear counselling to patients
Operations & Stock Control
- Manage stock efficiently, including cold chain products
- Handle recalls and expiry tracking
- Maintain equipment and reduce wastage
Governance, Compliance & Safety
- Follow GPhC and legal standards
- Manage controlled drugs and ensure GDPR compliance
- Maintain SOPs, risk assessments, and safety protocols
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, motivate, and support the pharmacy team
- Conduct performance reviews and training
- Build a positive, service-driven culture
Who We’re Looking For
- Registered Pharmacist with GPhC (or equivalent EEA qualification)
- Experience in leading or managing a pharmacy team
- Commercial awareness with a patient-first mindset
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Willingness to complete a paid observational shift before starting
