Role Overview
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Band 5 Physiotherapist to begin or develop a career in musculoskeletal (MSK) physiotherapy within a supportive outpatient setting.
Working as part of a well-established and multidisciplinary team, you’ll gain exposure to a wide range of MSK conditions while building your clinical confidence. The service is designed to encourage growth, offering structured development opportunities and strong mentorship from experienced clinicians.
 Your Working Environment
You’ll be based at Bridgwater Community Hospital, collaborating closely with:
- Physiotherapists across different bands
- Exercise Instructors
- Osteopaths
- First Contact Practitioners (FCPs)
- Orthopaedic interface teams
- Minor Injury Unit staff
- Other Allied Health Professionals (AHPs)
This collaborative approach ensures holistic, patient-centred care and a rich learning environment.
 Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Deliver high-quality physiotherapy care to MSK outpatients
- Carry out patient assessments, diagnosis, and treatment planning
- Provide clear, evidence-based advice to support patient recovery
- Contribute to the ongoing improvement of the MSK service
- Work independently while accessing support from senior clinicians when needed
- Participate in clinical discussions, peer reviews, and reflective practice
- Ensure safe use and maintenance of physiotherapy equipment
- Support the development of junior staff, students, and exercise instructors
