Role Overview
Skills Provision Ltd is recruiting experienced Transmission Line Workers on behalf of a rapidly expanding infrastructure company operating across the United Kingdom. The organisation specialises in the construction, maintenance, and upgrade of high-voltage overhead transmission lines supporting national energy networks.
This is a practical field-based role suited to professionals who have experience working on high-voltage power line projects and are comfortable operating at height. Successful candidates will join a highly skilled engineering team delivering complex transmission line installations and maintenance projects.

Working Schedule
Working hours vary depending on seasonal daylight conditions:
- Summer months: approximately 10 hours per day
- Winter months: approximately 9 hours per day
- Overtime may be available depending on project schedules.
Key Responsibilities
Transmission Line Workers play a vital role in maintaining safe and reliable electricity infrastructure. Duties may include:
- Following strict health and safety procedures when working on electrical infrastructure
- Conducting rigging operations during transmission line construction
- Carrying out blocking (dressing) and clipping-in activities on suspension and tension towers
- Performing spacering work using specialised spacer trolleys
- Installing and applying earthing systems to overhead line conductors
- Safely operating platforms, ladders, and access equipment
- Undertaking conductor jointing activities including temporary and permanent connections
- Performing jumper installation tasks
- Assisting with steel component replacement on transmission towers
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics
- Supporting team members and maintaining strong collaboration on-site
- Guidance on workplace safety in construction and engineeringÂ
Candidate Requirements
Experience
Applicants should have at least three years of experience working on high-voltage transmission line projects, including:
- Working safely at height
- Maintenance and repair of overhead transmission lines
- High-voltage stringing and tensioning operations
- Tower assembly or erection using cranes or derricks
Desirable Skills
The following experience will be considered advantageous:
- Formal qualifications in electrical, engineering, or construction disciplines
- Experience operating equipment such as pullers, tensioners, tractor winches, or erection tools
- Ability to interpret technical construction drawings and project plans
Driving Requirements
- A valid UK driving licence is preferred
- International applicants may receive support with licence conversion where required

Requirements for Overseas Applicants
