An expanding environmental services firm is recruiting a practical, hands-on Drainage Engineer to support commercial and residential infrastructure work across London. What you’ll be doing
- Carrying out drainage maintenance, jetting, repairs, and minor excavation
- Supporting pest-control-related environmental tasks
- Installing and servicing drainage systems and manholes
- Visiting a range of commercial and private client sites
- Operating specialist equipment to clear blockages
- Driving light commercial vehicles to and from work locations
- Completing on-the-job procedural training
Who this role is ideal for
You don’t need to arrive with every skill — the employer values reliability and work ethic just as much as experience. Strong candidates typically bring:
- Practical experience in drainage, construction, or handyman work (preferred, not mandatory)
- Comfort operating tools and light machinery
- Valid UK driving licence or international permit (conversion support available)
- Experience driving vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes
- Good physical fitness and willingness to work outdoors
- Positive, hard-working attitude
Pay & working pattern
- Hourly rate: £15.47–£18.61 depending on experience
- Minimum 48 hours per week
