Role Overview
This is an opportunity for a motivated General Practitioner to join a friendly, close-knit primary care team delivering person-centred healthcare to a local community. Working under the ARRS framework and aligned with the BMA salaried GP model contract, you will provide comprehensive clinical care while contributing to service improvement, training, and multidisciplinary collaboration.
The practice is a recognised training environment with a positive inspection rating, supporting continuous learning and safe, effective care delivery.
What You’ll Be Doing
You will provide a broad range of GP services in line with general medical services expectations. Your responsibilities will include:
- Face-to-face and telephone consultations
- Home visits when clinically required
- Reviewing and authorising prescriptions
- Duty doctor sessions on a shared rota
- Managing clinical correspondence, results and referrals
- Long-term condition monitoring and preventative care
- Accurate clinical documentation
- Supporting audit, governance and quality initiatives
- Supervising and collaborating with ARRS and multidisciplinary staff
- The role balances direct patient care with essential administrative and governance responsibilities.
Practice Environment
You will join a small, supportive team serving approximately 5,500 patients. The workforce includes GPs, allied clinicians, administrative staff and practice leadership working collaboratively to maintain high standards of patient care. The practice actively participates in Primary Care Network initiatives, encouraging shared learning and innovation.

Essential Qualifications & Registration
Applicants must demonstrate:
- Current registration with the General Medical Council
- Inclusion on a recognised GP performers list
- Completion of GP training within the ARRS eligibility timeframe
- Valid enhanced safeguarding clearance via the Disclosure and Barring Service
Right to work in the UK
- Desirable experience includes elderly care, inclusive health, quality improvement, and familiarity with primary care clinical systems.
