About the Role
Medivet Hendon is seeking a highly skilled Orthopaedic / Advanced Soft Tissue Veterinary Surgeon to join our dynamic 24-hour hospital team. This is an exceptional opportunity for experienced surgeons, including surgery certificate holders, to advance their careers while working in a well-equipped referral and hub hospital environment.
You will have access to a diverse and complex caseload, collaborating closely with a highly experienced surgical team comprising:
- One Orthopaedic / Advanced Soft Tissue Surgeon
- Two Soft Tissue Surgeons
- Two medicine certificate-holding Branch Partners
Our hospital is equipped with state-of-the-art tools, including:
- TPLO and spinal surgery equipment
- Arthroscopy, laparoscopy, and endoscopy
- CT and MRI
- Comprehensive surgical theatres and diagnostics
This role allows you to take ownership of your caseload, lead clinical decision-making, and contribute meaningfully to patient care and team development.
Responsibilities
As part of the Medivet Hendon team, you will:
- Deliver exceptional clinical care in consultations, surgeries, and follow-ups
- Develop tailored treatment plans for clients and their pets
- Collaborate effectively with a supportive multidisciplinary team
- Support and mentor colleagues, contributing to the growth of Medivet Clinical Communities
- Participate in audit, clinical governance, and CPD initiatives NHS Clinical Governance
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Is a qualified MRCVS Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons
- Holds or is working towards a surgery certificate or higher
- Has experience in orthopaedics and soft tissue surgery
- Is a team player passionate about delivering high-quality clinical care
- Is committed to continuous professional development RCVS CPD
