The Opportunity
If you’re an experienced Veterinary Surgeon who values clinical independence without isolation, this role at Medivet Coningsby could be a perfect fit. Situated right on the village high street, this welcoming practice offers a calm, community-focused environment where you’ll work sole charge, supported by an exceptional and experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse.
You’ll have the autonomy to practise medicine your way — while still benefiting from the reassurance of Medivet’s extensive regional and national clinical network, with nearby practices and senior colleagues always available for collaboration, second opinions, and support.

Clinical Development & Surgical Focus
- The practice is seeing an increasing number of surgical cases, making this a fantastic opportunity for a Vet who enjoys surgery.
- Ideally, you’ll already hold a surgical certificate
- If not, and you have a strong interest and experience in surgery, Medivet will fully fund your certificate
You’ll also gain access to Medivet’s 24-hour hospitals, clinical communities, and internal CPD programmes, allowing you to continuously grow your skills in a supported environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
In this role, you’ll typically:
- Deliver high-quality clinical care during consultations and surgical procedures
- Create clear, compassionate, and tailored treatment plans for clients
- Maintain excellent standards of clinical governance and regulatory compliance
- Work closely with your nurse to ensure smooth day-to-day practice operations
- Share knowledge and contribute to the wider Medivet clinical community
- All professional responsibilities are fully aligned with RCVS standards
About You
You’ll be:
- A qualified MRCVS Veterinary Surgeon
- Confident working sole charge while valuing teamwork and collaboration
- Passionate about patient care, client communication, and clinical standards
- Interested in developing your surgical expertise further
- Someone who wants to make a meaningful impact within a close-knit community practice
