The Opportunity

Medivet Quarrington is seeking a confident and forward-thinking Veterinary Surgeon with a strong interest in small animal surgery, who either holds or is actively working towards a CertAVP in Small Animal Surgery.

This role is ideal for a clinician who enjoys managing complex surgical cases, contributing to peri-operative planning, and developing advanced surgical skills within a supportive, well-equipped environment.

The practice is long-established with a loyal client base and a highly experienced team, offering an excellent platform for both clinical progression and professional fulfilment.

The Practice Environment

  • Medivet Quarrington is a purpose-built veterinary practice featuring:
  • Five modern consulting rooms
  • Separate dog and cat wards
  • Dedicated, well-equipped operating theatres

Advanced diagnostic and surgical equipment, including:

  • ECG
  • Orthopaedic instrumentation
  • Digital and dental X-ray

Ultrasound

The practice manages a busy and diverse caseload and is an approved training practice for both veterinary surgeons and nurses, creating a strong learning culture.

Working Pattern & Flexibility

  • 40 hours per week across 4 days
  • 1 in 4 Saturdays
  • No out-of-hours work listed
  • Part-time arrangements considered – flexibility welcomed

What You’ll Be Doing

In this role, you will:

  • Deliver high-quality clinical care in both consultations and surgery
  • Lead and contribute to case planning and peri-operative management
  • Develop clear, tailored treatment plans in partnership with clients
  • Work collaboratively within a supportive, multidisciplinary team
  • Share clinical knowledge and support the development of colleagues across the Medivet community
  • Maintain professional, regulatory, and operational standards at all times

About You

You will be:

  • A qualified MRCVS registered to practice in the UK
  • Passionate about clinical excellence and patient care
  • Confident working with surgical cases or keen to develop advanced surgical skills
  • A team-focused clinician who values collaboration and learning
  • Motivated to build a long-term career within a supportive organisation
