Job Description

We are seeking a skilled machinist to join our team in a dynamic manufacturing environment focused on producing rubber and plastic products. This full-time role is based in an urban setting and requires hands-on work at our facility—no remote options available. Qualifications Needed

Core Duties

  • In this position, you’ll handle a variety of tasks to ensure high-quality production, including:
  • Calculating measurements and allowances for machine components.
  • Reviewing technical diagrams, plans, sketches, and data tables.
  • Configuring and fine-tuning machinery and tools for production runs.
  • Assembling parts and fitting them with exact precision.
  • Using tools like micrometers and calipers to check machined parts for accuracy.
  • Operating both traditional and CNC machines to shape materials.
  • Inspecting finished items to confirm they meet exact standards and quality requirements.

Work Environment and Demands

This job takes place in a bustling manufacturing plant specializing in rubber and plastic goods. Expect a mix of seated, standing, and walking activities throughout the day, with a strong emphasis on detail-oriented work. You’ll occasionally lift items weighing up to 20 pounds (about 9 kg).
