The company seeks a Ground Segment Architect with technical knowledge to improve the team and advance the company’s position in a rapidly evolving sector.

As a Ground Segment Architect, you will collaborate with the Chief Engineer and manage essential projects to meet deadlines and exceed expectations.

Responsibilities for Ground Segment Architect:

  • Technical Project Decisions: Define and describe multi-mission support ground segment design, including internal and external interfaces. Receive the Engineering Director’s delegation of power over technical decisions, and serve as the primary point of contact for technical enquiries that cannot be handled by the appropriate teams.
  • Roadmap Ground Segment Development: Work with the ground segment group manager to create the ground segment roadmap, with a focus on multi-mission support.
  • Problem Resolution: Collaborate with technical teams to identify and resolve issues. Help to handle technical issues as they emerge.
  • Oversee technical development and implementation of assigned programs during project reviews, guiding teams accordingly.
  • Collaborate with the Ground Segment Group Manager to guarantee quality engineering standards and procedures, including establishing, mapping, and proposing processes.

 

The Ground Segment Architect requires the following skills and experience:

  • Master’s degree in engineering or a related discipline.
  • At least 10-15 years of experience in their field of competence.
  • An experienced people manager.
  • Experienced in developing and designing ground segments and systems.
  • Spacecraft-level experience as a systems architect.
  • Experience working with businesses to deliver long-term, complicated projects and plans.
