Role Overview

UCL ISR is seeking a Lecturer in Business, Sustainability and Society to enhance research and teaching on sustainable business practices and the role of consumers and citizens in driving environmental change.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to ISR’s research agenda, focusing on business sustainability and sustainable consumption.
  • Join the leadership team for the MSc Business and Sustainability (BaS) programme.
  • Deliver and lead at least one taught module, while supporting other modules as needed.
  • Translate research into practical insights on sustainable consumer behaviour for postgraduate students.
  • Engage with interdisciplinary teams, businesses, policymakers, and civil society stakeholders.
  • Contribute to publications, policy briefings, and knowledge transfer initiatives.

The role offers opportunities to influence both academic research and practical applications in sustainability, supporting ISR’s mission to drive transformation across business, society, and the environment.

Candidate Profile

  • PhD or equivalent experience in business sustainability, environmental management, or related fields.
  • Demonstrable research excellence with publications in high-quality journals.
  • Experience managing and delivering postgraduate modules.
  • Ability to collaborate across disciplines, cultures, and sectors.
  • Strong engagement skills with stakeholders including businesses, policymakers, and civil society organisations.
