Role Overview
We are seeking an Associate Professor (Teaching) in Technology Innovation to join our team. This post is on the teaching track, focused on delivering high-quality education in technology and innovation, rather than research.
The successful candidate will:
- Design and deliver undergraduate and postgraduate modules in technology innovation
- Develop opportunities for students to engage with real-world projects in collaboration with industry
- Lead initiatives to enhance the Technology and Innovation degree program
- Provide academic leadership in curriculum development, programme management, and student engagement
This role is ideal for candidates who can integrate theory with practical business applications and mentor students from diverse cultural and academic backgrounds.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality teaching and assessment in technology and innovation
- Develop innovative course content and industry-focused learning experiences
- Lead curriculum development and programme enhancements
- Mentor and support students, fostering engagement and academic success
- Collaborate with colleagues across UCL to create interdisciplinary learning opportunities
- Contribute to continuous improvement of teaching quality and educational initiatives
Candidate Profile
Applicants should have:
- A PhD or equivalent doctorate in business, management, technology, or a related field
- Demonstrated experience teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels
- Proven excellence in teaching, supported by strong evaluations and feedback
- Experience in programme leadership, project management, or curriculum development
- Ability to engage with industry partners and integrate practical projects into teaching
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to diversity and inclusion
Salary & Benefits
- Competitive UCL Grade 9 salary: £68,284 – £76,244 per annum
- 41 days annual leave (including 27 days leave, 8 bank holidays, 6 closure days)
