Role Overview

Henley Business School invites applications for an Associate Professor in International Business and Strategy. This full-time, permanent role offers an exciting opportunity to join a globally recognised, triple-accredited (AMBA, EQUIS, AACSB) business school. The successful candidate will contribute to research excellence, innovative teaching, and leadership in shaping the future of international business scholarship.

The International Business and Strategy Department is home to the Dunning Centre for International Business, one of the world’s leading centres in the field. You will join a community of distinguished academics and emerging scholars, contributing to Henley’s global research reputation and student success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and conduct high-quality, original research in international business and strategy, with outputs in leading journals.
  • Secure external research funding and contribute to grant applications.
  • Teach and provide leadership at undergraduate, postgraduate, and executive education levels, including curriculum design and programme development.
  • Mentor colleagues and support professional development within the department.
  • Contribute to departmental strategy, administration, and academic leadership initiatives.
  • Engage in knowledge transfer activities, conferences, and public engagement to enhance Henley’s global reputation.

Essential Qualifications & Experience

  • A PhD in Management, International Business, Economics, or a closely related discipline.
  • Strong publication record in top-tier international business and strategy journals.
  • Demonstrated ability to secure external research funding.
  • Experience in teaching and academic leadership at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
  • Evidence of a growing international academic reputation and contributions to scholarly networks.

Desirable Attributes

  • Complementary research expertise aligning with the Dunning Centre for International Business.
  • Experience mentoring early career researchers and leading academic teams.
  • Engagement with global academic networks and conferences.
