Job Description

We are looking for a talented and passionate individual to join our worship team as a Church Instrumentalist. This role is key to enhancing our vibrant and diverse worship experience, helping to create a spiritual atmosphere during our church services and events. If you have a heart for music, are skilled at playing instruments, and want to serve in a ministry setting, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities:

Play your designated instrument (e.g., piano, guitar, keyboard, drums, etc.) during church services, worship events, and other scheduled activities.

Work closely with the worship team, choir, and other musicians to enhance the quality of the worship experience.

Attend regular rehearsals to prepare for upcoming services and events.

Familiarize yourself with the chosen songs, arrangements, and any other musical elements.

Collaborate with the Worship Leader and team members to create a cohesive, engaging worship atmosphere.

Provide musical support for vocalists and other musicians during rehearsals and performances.

Adapt to a variety of musical styles and genres to match the diverse worship experiences at our church.

Be open to incorporating new songs and arrangements into the repertoire.

Ensure musical instruments and equipment are properly maintained and in good working order.

Coordinate with the church’s technical team to resolve any sound or equipment issues during rehearsals and services.

Approach your role with a heart of worship, understanding the importance of music in facilitating a deeper connection with God.

Engage in spiritual and devotional activities with the worship team.

Stay committed to personal and musical growth by attending workshops and training sessions to improve your skills.

Encourage and support the musical development of other worship team members.

Qualifications and Skills:

Proficiency in playing one or more instruments relevant to a worship setting.

Experience in playing for church services, worship events, or similar environments.

Strong musical ear with the ability to adapt to different genres and arrangements.

Excellent team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills.

A commitment to the church’s spiritual vision and values.
