The Opportunity
We are seeking a dedicated Lecturer to join our London-based team and support the delivery of our BSc Computing for Industry programme, with particular emphasis on our Top-Up degrees in Computer Science and Data Science.
We welcome applications from academics or industry professionals with expertise in one or more of the following areas:
- Mobile App Development
- Cyber Security
- Blockchain
- Artificial Intelligence
- Machine Learning
- Database Systems & Programming
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, high-quality teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels
- Use a range of teaching methods including online, blended, and in-person delivery
- Develop a reflective teaching portfolio grounded in best practice
- Contribute to curriculum development and ongoing review
- Engage with the wider academic and professional community
- Support student learning, including supervision and academic advising
- Contribute to the School’s research, scholarly, or professional practice activities
Candidate Profile
Essential Requirements:
- Successful teaching experience in higher education or equivalent industry practice
- Up-to-date subject expertise and familiarity with current disciplinary methods
- Evidence of recent research or professional practice, with an emerging track record of outputs
- Ability to support diverse student cohorts and adapt teaching to varied learning needs
- Commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusive education
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to engage in broader university activities such as recruitment and outreach
