About the Role

Aston University is looking for a proactive and organised graduate to join our Student Recruitment and Outreach team as a Student Recruitment Officer (UK Home). This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the University’s growing national profile by supporting student recruitment efforts across the UK.

In this key role, you will:

  • Organise and deliver a range of recruitment events on and off campus.
  • Represent Aston University at HE fairs, conventions, and school/college visits.
  • Build and maintain relationships with schools, colleges, and key stakeholders.
  • Contribute to and develop strategic recruitment plans within your assigned region.

This role offers a fantastic next step for someone with experience in student recruitment, marketing, or schools liaison, looking to grow their career at an ambitious and supportive institution.

About You

We’re seeking a candidate who has:

  • A good honours degree.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • A commitment to promoting access to Higher Education.
  • Willingness to travel extensively across the UK and stay overnight when required.
  • A UK driving licence (please contact us if you are unable to drive due to a health-related reason to discuss alternatives).

Additional Information

  • A satisfactory DBS check is required for this role.
  • Experience in HE marketing, student recruitment, or outreach/schools liaison is essential.

Visa Sponsorship

This role does not meet the general salary threshold for Skilled Worker sponsorship. However, Aston University may consider sponsorship for candidates who meet any of the following criteria:

  • Under the age of 26
  • Hold a relevant PhD
  • Held a Student or Graduate Visa within the past 2 years
  • Are already in the UK under a Skilled Worker/Tier 2 visa issued before April 4, 2024
