Job Description
Join Our Compassionate Team Supporting Vulnerable Communities
In alignment with the NHS 3-Year Delivery Plan for Maternity and Neonatal Services and the Core20PLUS5 strategy, we are launching Enhanced Midwifery Continuity of Carer (MCoC) teams. These teams will provide specialized support to women and birthing people living in the most deprived areas, aiming to reduce inequalities in maternity and neonatal outcomes.
We are looking for highly motivated, compassionate midwives to join our teams and play a crucial role in delivering enhanced MCoC services to vulnerable women, birthing people, and their families.
Your Role
This role is part of a shift-based continuity model of care, where you will provide team caseload management for women and birthing people. You will be involved in the full scope of midwifery practice, offering dedicated, person-centred care.
What We’re Looking For
A confident and competent midwife, with experience across the full midwifery scope.
A compassionate approach to care, ensuring equality, diversity, and inclusivity for all service users.
A willingness to be on call for intrapartum care.
A valid UK driving licence and access to a car (travel across long distances may be required).
A commitment to empowering women and birthing people to be active partners in their care.
This new team will be an addition to our current staffing model, ensuring more specialised and accessible maternity care for those who need it most.
