OSCE Training Post (Band 3) – Progression to Staff Nurse (Band 5)
Location: East Surrey Hospital, Surrey and Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust
Contract: Full-time
Salary: Band 3, progressing to Band 5 upon obtaining NMC PIN
Are you an internationally educated nurse currently working in the UK healthcare system and looking to join the NMC register?
Surrey and Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust is currently welcoming applications from internationally educated nurses already residing in the UK who wish to develop their nursing careers within the NHS. This is an exciting opportunity to progress from a Band 3 role to a registered Staff Nurse (Band 5) following successful completion of OSCE training and registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
Essential Requirements:
To be considered for this role, applicants must:
- Have passed the IELTS or OET in line with NMC language requirements
- Have passed the CBT (both parts) of the Adult Test of Competence
- Currently be working in the UK in a Healthcare Assistant or Nursing Assistant role
- Provide documentary evidence of the above (applications without evidence cannot be considered)
What We Offer:
- During your six-week OSCE training programme, you will be employed as a Band 3. Upon passing the OSCE and receiving your NMC PIN, you will transition into a Band 5 Staff Nurse role.
- You will receive comprehensive support including:
- Free OSCE training valued at £2,000
- Fully funded OSCE exams (up to two attempts: £794 for the initial exam, £397 for a resit)
- Free transportation to the exam centre (first attempt only)
- Sponsorship for up to five years (valued at £6,050)
Our structured OSCE programme has a high pass rate and is led by a dedicated team offering one-to-one training in areas such as care planning, medication administration, and ANTT (aseptic non-touch technique).
