Community Staff Nurse – NHS Lanarkshire
Location: Houldsworth Centre, Community Nursing
Contract Type: Permanent, Part-Time (29.6 hours per week)
Salary & Banding: As per NHS Agenda for Change

About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our community nursing team at NHS Lanarkshire. In this vital role, you will deliver high-quality, person-centred care across a diverse patient group, supporting individuals in their own homes and community settings. You will be responsible and accountable for providing skilled nursing interventions, ensuring safe and effective care aligned with our quality strategy.

You’ll work collaboratively with patients, families, multidisciplinary colleagues, and partner organisations to deliver accessible and responsive healthcare services that meet the unique needs of our communities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver evidence-based nursing care to patients in the community
  • Contribute to the planning, implementation, and evaluation of care
  • Promote patient safety and wellbeing through high clinical standards
  • Work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Support patients across all age groups, including those with complex needs

What You’ll Bring:

  • Registered Nurse with valid NMC registration
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team-working skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Basic IT proficiency
  • Full UK/EU/EEA driving licence (essential for community travel)

Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • Educated to degree level or working towards
  • Continued professional development and specialist training
  • Community nursing experience and catheter care expertise
  • Experience in compression bandaging, wound management, and use of syringe drivers
  • Leadership skills and ability to support colleagues and service development
