Job Description

The University is also in the midst of delivering its ambitious three-year Sport & Active Wellbeing Vision, focused on inspiring, expanding, and integrating sport and active wellbeing into both the University and the wider community.

As part of the SportsPark department, the Sports Assistant will join the Facilities & Operations team, playing a key role in providing essential operational and facility support to SportsPark users. The role will also involve assisting with the development and delivery of various sports and active wellbeing initiatives across the University. This position is split, with approximately 80% focused on supporting the Sports Facilities Managers with operational tasks, and 20% dedicated to sports development duties.

As an important team member, you will need to have:

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

A genuine interest in sport and fitness.

The ability to take initiative and contribute to the growth of sport and active wellbeing for a diverse group of users.

Candidates should be prepared to work a shift pattern that includes early mornings, evenings, and two weekends out of every three, ensuring that the SportsPark facilities operate efficiently during all business hours.
