About the Role

The University of Glasgow, ranked 12th globally in the Times Higher Education World Impact Rankings 2024, is seeking a Living Lab PPIE & Qualitative Research Facilitator to support and lead Public and Patient Involvement and Engagement (PPIE) within its Living Laboratory projects.

This role is ideal for an experienced researcher passionate about community engagement, qualitative research, and healthcare innovation. You will:

Lead high-quality PPIE activities, ensuring inclusive and accessible dialogue between patients, carers, public contributors, and research teams.

Support qualitative research methods, including interviews, focus groups, and community outreach, to explore healthcare concerns and opportunities for improvement.

Collaborate closely with clinicians, academics, and community partners to ensure research outputs reflect the needs and perspectives of stakeholders.

Act as a liaison to foster trust and partnership across research projects and public contributors.

Candidate Profile

You will have:

  • Experience in public engagement and qualitative research in healthcare or related fields.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate research findings for diverse audiences.
  • The ability to manage multiple projects, work independently, and contribute to team objectives.
  • Strong understanding of inclusive practices and a commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion.
  • Desirable: Experience with Living Lab methodologies and healthcare innovation projects.
