Main Responsibilities:
Coordinate and ensure high standards of patient care are delivered efficiently and effectively, aligning with the overall service philosophy.
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in accordance with local and national guidelines.
Serve as a role model and deliver care as an Autonomous Practitioner within a haemodialysis setting, adhering to agreed protocols and guidelines.
Supervise junior and unregistered nurses in providing care for chronically ill renal patients from diverse ethnic backgrounds.
Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic care for patients.
Contribute to the development of a learning culture, supporting the growth and development of the nursing team and students.
Ensure successful completion of competencies and required training to fully undertake the role.

Job Requirements:
Qualifications:
Registered Adult Nurse on the NMC Register
Evidence of the ability to revalidate as required by the NMC
Experience:
Previous or recent experience in an acute NHS care setting (student placements within the last 12 months also acceptable)
Evidence of career development and ongoing professional development
Experience working independently and as part of a team in a healthcare environment, delegating and supervising others
Willingness to become a practice supervisor/assessor, meeting NMC standards for student supervision and assessment
Understanding of the NMC Code of Conduct
Knowledge of preceptorship, work-based learning, and the assimilation of skills and knowledge
Awareness of current NHS policies
Knowledge of safeguarding and Mental Capacity principles
Additional Skills:
Competent in clinical skills, including drug administration calculations
Ability to manage a group of patients and lead a shift effectively
Professional appearance and a genuine interest in the role
Positive, enthusiastic, and reliable with excellent communication skills
Ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and unsocial hours, as required
Ability to work across different practice settings when required
