Position Title: Aircraft Engine Component Machinist
Reports To: Gate 2 Production Cell Leader, Component Repair Machine Shop
We are seeking a skilled Aircraft Engine Component Machinist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for machining precision aircraft engine components used in engine overhaul, assembly, and testing. You will be required to work independently, ensuring a safe work environment while delivering high-quality components.
Key Responsibilities:
Machining Aircraft Engine Components: Produce parts to tight tolerances for engine overhaul and assembly.
Machine Tool Operation: Work with various machine tools, including turning, milling, vertical boring, and grinding.
CNC Operation: Operate CNC machine tools. Programming experience is preferred but not essential.
Interpret Engineering Drawings: Read and work from engineering drawings and OEM technical manuals.
Inspection: Use measuring equipment to inspect engine components and ensure precision.
PC Work: Engage in tasks involving OEM manuals and other computer-based work.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship/Qualification: A mechanical engineering apprenticeship or equivalent qualification is essential.
Machine Shop Experience: Proven experience working in a machine shop environment.
