About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior BMS (Building Management Systems) Engineer to join our BeMS Optimisation Division at Optimised. In this role, you will deliver optimisation, planned preventative maintenance (PPM), and reactive service works for clients across a variety of sectors, focusing on energy efficiency and decarbonisation solutions.

You’ll work closely with clients on-site and collaborate with our in-house support teams to deliver measurable improvements in energy performance, carbon reduction, and operational efficiency. This is a hands-on, client-facing position ideal for a technically strong, solutions-driven professional with a passion for sustainability and technology.

Key Responsibilities

Service and Optimisation Delivery

Complete energy optimisation surveys on existing systems (Trend, Tridium, Cylon, Siemens, etc.) to identify performance improvements.

Implement software modifications to enhance building energy performance.

Troubleshoot and resolve energy inefficiencies identified by the Remote Optimisation Centre (ROC) team.

Conduct PPM service works according to scheduled deliverables.

Perform maintenance activities including checks on control panels, sensors, control valves, pressure transducers, and BMS controllers.

Identify additional small works opportunities during visits and prepare proposals with the support team.

Produce detailed PPM service reports on the same day as the visit.

Undertake reactive callouts and small works projects, including HVAC plant repairs and installations.

Client and Stakeholder Engagement

Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, suppliers, and third parties.

Provide clear, solution-oriented explanations regarding building control technologies.

Collaborate across multiple teams to ensure service excellence and project efficiency.

Health & Safety and Compliance

Maintain full awareness of Health & Safety standards at all times.

Review and sign RAMS (Risk Assessment Method Statements) before each engagement.

Assess workplace risks dynamically and take appropriate action if conditions are unsafe.

Keep Health & Safety certifications up to date.

About You

Qualifications and Experience

Minimum 5 years of BMS commissioning and systems experience.

Qualified to HNC/ONC or equivalent in Electrical or Electronic Engineering.

Certified CSCS Gold Card or ECS Card holder.

Experience with Cylon, Trend, and/or Tridium systems is essential.

Proven knowledge of fault finding, service, and small project delivery.

Full UK driving licence and eligibility to work in the UK.

Salary and Benefits

Starting salary: £50,000+ (DOE)
