Suffolk County Council – Current Vacancies: Direct Payment Review Team, Ipswich

Positions Available:

Newly Qualified Adult Social Workers: £36,124 per annum (Pro-rata for part-time hours), Plus £500 additional payment upon completion of ASYE

Adult Social Workers: £37,035 – £39,513 per annum (Pro-rata for part-time hours)

Retention Payments: Up to £2,000 for 2-5 years of service

Full-time and Part-time Hours Available

We are currently recruiting Social Workers, including Newly Qualified Social Workers, to join our Direct Payment Review Team in Adult Social Care. We seek passionate Social Workers eager to contribute to the People at the Heart of Care vision and support review activities across Suffolk. These roles will be based within the Direct Payment Review Team, with a hybrid working model that includes weekly meetings in Ipswich.

What You Will Need

  • A relevant social work qualification
  • Current Social Work England registration (or awaiting registration if newly qualified)
  • A valid driving license and access to personal transport
  • Experience in social work, demonstrating good practice, and providing advice in complex situations
  • A strong understanding of current legislation and guidance, with experience chairing meetings involving clients, families, carers, and multi-agency professionals
  • The ability to build effective relationships with partner agencies and the local community to support vulnerable adults
