JOB SUMMARY
Chef (Pub).
Our clients at the Manor Toton Pub in Nottingham are searching for an additional Chef to work in the pub company. If you enjoy creating wonderful English pub food, traditional steak, fish and chips, cobs, fajitas, real English breakfast, Sunday roast, fish cuisine, and so on, look no further than our client’s well-known fast-growing business. Our client’s business is growing due to increased demand in the area. The company is searching for an additional Chef to help them meet the needs of its local customers. Contribute to the Pub’s turnover and profitability by preparing and serving meals to the Management’s standards, as well as satisfying customers, with whom a polite and respectful interaction must be maintained at all times.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Plan, prepare, cook, and deliver high-quality food for guests while promoting Pub menus.
• Maintain health and hygiene requirements in kitchen and public areas for food service.
• Minimise food waste.
• Implementing favourable customer feedback.
• A polite and welcoming demeanour.
• Plan costs, order goods/supplies, and receive them in accordance with Management’s specifications.
• Plan menus for personal gatherings and major events.
• Proficient in producing Sunday roasts, English breakfasts, fish & chips, steaks, and classic pub meals.
• Order food products from the Business’s appointed vendors.
• Maintain appropriate stock levels while increasing and encouraging sales of the Pub’s products and items, as well as assisting in meeting Management’s Gross Profit Margin targets.
• To be in charge of all food tickets handled during the day.
• Ensure equipment and working areas are clean and meet legal standards.
Relevant Experience:
1. Expertise in traditional English pub cuisine.
2. A minimum of 3-6 months of experience or an NVQ at a good food level 2.
3. Thorough understanding of applicable food and health and safety legislation.
4. Effective communication, documentation, and organisational abilities.
5. Ability to lead and supervise a high-volume staff, restaurant experience, and having worked in restaurants with over sales per year.
6. Capable of draughting production lists, F&B proposals, and requisitions.
Benefits and Salaries:
• The annual package ranges from £35000 to £39000, based on experience.
