About the Role
We are looking for two dedicated and compassionate Social Care Workers to join our Mental Health team in Barrow-in-Furness. This is an exciting time to join us as we continue to evolve our Adult Social Care services through a forward-thinking programme of transformation.
In this vital role, you’ll support adults aged 18 and over who are living in the community and have been identified as having long-term care and support needs. You’ll play a key part in helping individuals achieve better outcomes, promoting independence, and empowering people to live fulfilled lives.
What You’ll Do
- Undertake strengths-based assessments and plan person-centred care and support
- Work with individuals, carers, and stakeholders to develop tailored support plans
- Promote independence and help people make the most of their abilities and resources
- Actively support the delivery of our wider Mental Health service goals across Westmorland and Furness
Who We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Passionate about making a difference in the lives of others
- Experienced or familiar with social care, healthcare, or voluntary sector work
- A confident communicator with excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
- Empathetic, proactive, and able to work collaboratively with others
- Competent using IT systems and managing workloads to meet deadlines
- Committed to delivering high-quality, person-centred care in a strengths-based way
