Summary
Sunlight Care Group is looking to hire Care Workers for our clients in London and the surrounding areas.
Sunlight Care Group is a CQC-registered agency. We have offices in London, Surrey, and Essex, as well as a 24-hour, seven-day-a-week out-of-hours service that is always available because we understand that the ultimate measure of an agency is meeting our clients’ last-minute unforeseen demands.
About the role:
The function of the Care Worker is broad and will be based on unique person-centered goals. You will be visiting clients in their homes to help with household chores, personal care, and perhaps taking the client to the doctor or hospital.
Care workers are qualified support workers who assist registered practitioners in providing healthcare services to patients. These include a variety of clinical and non-clinical healthcare or therapeutic tasks performed under the direct or indirect supervision of a qualified healthcare professional. The Care Worker offers high-quality, compassionate care while adhering to standards, policies, or protocols and working within their scope of competence.
As a Care Worker, you will provide hands-on assistance to our Care Managers through induction programmes, training, and competency assessments. You will also coach a team of Care Workers and collaborate closely with our Head Office’s senior management team to support the day-to-day operations and activities.
In addition to the foregoing, you will be responsible for a wide range of personal care, from assistance with washing and dressing in the morning to assisting with toileting during the day. On another day, you could be aiding someone who is fully ambulatory but has dementia and needs help with cooking and cleaning. Your role is to help them become as independent as possible while still encouraging their well-being. As a Care Worker, you may be required to give drugs (for which you have received specific training).
Due to the large level of anticipated interest, only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
In compliance with GDPR data protection legislation, we will not save any information about rejected candidates.
Safeguarding Statement:

We have processes in place to guarantee that the needs of vulnerable groups are addressed correctly and compassionately.
Everyone who works with us has a duty of care to ensure the well-being of children, young people, and vulnerable adults by creating a safe environment. Our standards of practice guarantee that all employees are fully informed and understand their responsibilities under safeguarding legislation and regulatory guidelines.
All workers are aware of symptoms of abuse or mistreatment and will report any concerns to the Designated Safeguarding Lead in accordance with the agreed-upon safeguarding procedures.
We ensure that all workers with direct responsibility for children, young people, or vulnerable adults (vulnerable groups) have undergone the most stringent recruitment standards, including enhanced criminal record checks (DBS) and reference checks.
