JOB SUMMARY

We are presently seeking employees to work on established home and community-based programs in North West London, including Brent, Haringey, and Hillingdon, on a full-time or part-time basis.A spotless UK driver’s license is required in order to operate an automatic vehicle.Part-time availability is limited to one weekday, as well as Saturday and Sunday. You will collaborate with a team that provides support to service users in North West London who have primary diagnoses of autism and cognitive disabilities. The primary focus will be on community participation and life skills. We welcome experienced graduates, professionals from other fields who are interested in assisting adolescents and young adults in their home and local community, and candidates who have previously worked in ABA or PBS settings. Beam ABA Services implements a “positive risk-taking” strategy to guarantee that the adolescents we assist are afforded opportunities that enhance their independence and enhance their quality of life.
Successful candidates must be available to work on both weekdays and weekends, as we operate on a seven-day-a-week basis. Hours: Monday through Friday from 3 PM to 9 PM and 9 AM to 6 PM, as well as Saturday and Sunday from 1 PM to 9 PM. A.M. to 3 p

- To facilitate the implementation of person-centred programs that employ the most effective practices of Positive Behaviour Support and Applied Behaviour Analysis
- To provide service users with the necessary tools to succeed by teaching them functional skills, fostering communication systems, and improving their social skills within a framework that prioritises empowerment and choice.
- Accurately monitor and collect data on a daily basis in accordance with the objectives of service users
- To provide assistance to individuals during periods of crisis, such as challenging behaviour.
- To guarantee that all program materials are accessible and organised
- To provide assistance to the service user with self-help skills, such as personal sanitation and care requirements (e.g., toileting, nappy changing, feeding, bathing, nail cutting, and medication).
- To consistently exhibit professionalism and best practices
- To participate in mandatory trainings, team meetings, and self-directed e-learning modules
- To ensure the utmost level of protection and well-being for service users
- To execute restrictive techniques in accordance with the positive management plan for service users as necessary
- Flexibility to provide assistance to the service user on weekends and evenings
- Additional responsibilities as assigned by your supervisor
Essential qualifications and abilities
- One year of practical experience working with individuals who have been diagnosed with autism and/or a cognitive disability
- Experience in promoting alternative modalities of communication and supporting individuals who are non-verbal.
- An unblemished driver’s license
Qualifications that are preferred
- an undergraduate degree in a discipline such as psychology, counselling, social work, or a related field
- More than one year of practical experience working with individuals with special needs
- Familiarity with the management of difficult behaviour
- Experience with the application of ABA methodology

- Full-time positions are available, with an hourly rate of £12.25-£14, contingent upon qualifications and experience. Based on a 35-hour workweek, the immediate remuneration for full-time staff ranges from £22,295 to £25,480. Overtime hours are available.You must possess the ability to operate an automatic vehicle and be available to work on weekdays, evenings, and weekends.Full training is offered.
