A Day in the Life of a Restaurant Manager at the Lynden Hotel.

What you will do…

According to the General Manager, your working day will consist of the following tasks.

  • Ensure the smooth operation of both our restaurants, the Washington and the Connaught, for breakfast and dinner service.
  • Maintain the highest levels of guest care, ensuring that the team provides a friendly, efficient, and professional service.
  • Recruitment.
  • Training for the team.
  • Ensure that the staff adheres to current licensing, health, food, and fire requirements.
  • Continuously evaluate team behaviour, appearance, and performance.
  • As a member of the management team, you will be assisting the hotel as a whole, including duty management shifts.

To succeed as a restaurant manager, you will need the following attributes and skills:

  • An passionate individual who aims to be the best and can greet all guests warmly to make their visit memorable.
  • Excellent leadership, management, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Prior experience with a similar-sized front-of-house business.
  • People-oriented, with a great attention to detail and the ability to lead from the front to ensure the team delivers a level of service that meets our customers’ requirements and expectations.
