Job Description: We are seeking a permanent, full-time Painter and Decorator to join our team. The selected candidate will play an important part in our construction projects, ensuring that all painting and decorating work fulfils our high quality and aesthetic expectations.
Key responsibilities:
* Clean surfaces, sand them, and fill any gaps or cracks.
* Use paint, varnish, and other finishes on walls, ceilings, and other surfaces.
* Measure, cut, and install wallpaper or fabric on walls.
* Combine paint and other finishes to create desired colours and textures.
* Use brushes, rollers, and spray guns to apply finishes.
* Ensure that all work locations are clean and neat after completing a project.
* Inspect and repair surfaces to ensure quality.
* Collaborate with fellow construction professionals to finish projects.
* Obey established safety rules and regulations while maintaining a safe and clean environment.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a painter and decorator.
* Comprehensive understanding of painting and decorating techniques and materials.
* Proficient with painting tools and equipment.
* Able to read technical texts and drawings.
* Great attention to detail and aesthetics.
* Demonstrated ability to operate both alone and collaboratively.
* High physical endurance and dexterity.
* Relevant qualification or diploma in painting, decorating, or a similar sector is advantageous.
