JOB SUMMARY

Provide a high degree of comprehensive patient care so that the dignity and equality of the patients always stands intact.

Make sure daily operations include the values stated in the foundations of care to guarantee high quality service for clients and patients.
Make sure your service user’s house is usually neat and orderly; report any mess or clutter to the relevant person.

Complete patient menu cards including patients in the process, considering any dietary recommendations as noted by licensed nurse.

Participate in protected lunchtime for service users by making sure patients have their meals or beverages in a timely and safe way, therefore ensuring hands are cleansed and the surroundings fit mealtimes.
After a period of suitable training and evaluation, perform patient observations; temperature; pulse and respirations

Help in moving and handling service users such that they are transferred securely in line with policies and organisational norms.
Identify and act suitably in an emergency or urgent matter.
Share simple information with service users and their carers keeping respect, dignity, and confidentiality.

Good knowledge of personal care, domestic/practical chores, enabling and support work including washing, dressing, bathing, toileting and medication monitoring and/or assistance.

Maintaining personal service that always fits the persons personal need with regards to confidentiality, support workers are expected to promote service users autonomous in their own homes while giving care in the home and other venues as assigned.

Providing personal, social, and enabling care and support to service users in their own home and in the community will be among duties and tasks.

Capacity to interact personally, in line with their support plan, with the Service Users and their families, offering the best quality care.

You can be expected to handle some social responsibilities such meal preparation and cooking, basic cleaning, shopping, bill collection and fire maintenance.

Such activities as supervising, monitoring and coaching to enable service users to be as autonomous as feasible and have control over their own life could also be part of enabling and support. Also may have to accompany or escort service users to appointments, community trips, or other events.
