JOB SUMMARY
We concentrate in patient care and treatment with the goal of ensuring a safe and timely discharge.
We try to ensure patients’ safety at all times, utilising increased observations and risk assessments to identify patients’ particular needs and, as a result, provide the best possible care.
We will be searching for candidates with a strong knowledge basis, excellent communication skills, the ability to manage and delegate, and the willingness to take on new tasks and responsibilities.

Managerial Leadership
• To support and assist the ward manager in maintaining ongoing responsibility for the ward.
• Use the trust competency framework to ensure staff competence in clinical practice procedures, including suitable underpinning knowledge and practical skills.
• To support and assist the Ward Manager in monitoring performance and managing nursing staff in areas of responsibility, while also ensuring that all employment records are locally kept and up to date in the absence of the Ward Manager.
• To support and assist the Ward Manager in ensuring that all personnel get obligatory training in accordance with Trust rules.
• Keep accurate personnel records for annual leave, sickness, and absence.
· Represent the ward at Trust-wide forums and inter-agency meetings, deputising for the Ward Manager as needed.
• Ensure that all medical equipment are used safely and effectively in the intensive care unit.
• Actively engage with and support Directorate objectives and problems.
• Use clinical skills and knowledge to provide specialised advice and assistance to colleagues, patients, and relatives.
• Serve as a clinical specialist and good role model for the entire staff.
