Job Description

JOB SUMMARY

Are you a social worker who is passionate about helping adults with learning challenges and autism?

What we are looking for

We are searching for a certified Social Worker with current Social Work England registration who has the desire and enthusiasm to join our team.

We want to help our most vulnerable residents get their lives back on track. This is why our social workers have the opportunity to get to know everyone they work with.

The Community Team for People with Learning Disabilities and Autism (CTPLD) is dedicated to improving outcomes for those we serve. We take a person-centred approach to our team’s work. We are searching for people that share our dedication and are structured, creative, and excellent at interacting with adults with learning impairments and autism.

Below are a few recent quotes from the people we serve and their families that demonstrate how much we regard people with learning disabilities and autism, as well as the personnel who deal with them.

“I believe the assistance you have provided to this family has significantly improved the lives of everyone concerned. We sincerely feel that if it hadn’t been for you, we would no longer be a family because we would all be broken, with serious implications. Just wanted to say thank you! Your ongoing support means the world.

“I just wanted to say thank you for all of your help and support. The assistance you are providing has made a significant difference in my ability to maintain hope in the face of adversity. It’s made such a difference.

“My social worker was really polite and cheerful; she had a wonderful demeanour and ‘way about her’, and she was quite helpful.”

What is it like to work in our team?

CTPLD and Autism is an excellent team to work for, with a shared culture, mutual support, and a nice team dynamic. We collaborate with others within the service to leverage specialist knowledge and support.
