The Building Construction Products Division Engine Systems Team is looking for a Cooling System Engineer to develop cooling systems for different machine platforms, including Back Hoe Loaders (BHL), Compact Wheel Loaders (CWL) and Telehandlers (TH). Your responsibilities will include establishing cooling system requirements at the outset of any new product development cycle, using analytical tools to identify the best system design, and working with our buying team to evaluate various supplier cooling system components. In addition to the initial system design, you will be in charge of all cooling system validation operations, including test planning, data analysis, and cooling system efficacy in meeting requirements.
What you’ll Do:
- Establish cooling system requirements with inputs from other machine systems, such as the engine, interior/exterior machine sound, hydraulic systems, and HVAC systems.
- In charge of cooling system installation development, including fan selection and shroud design.
- extensive coordination with cooling system component vendors and internal buying resources to discover solutions that are optimised for performance and cost.
- Responsible for all cooling system validation tasks, such as analysis, test planning, and post-processing test results.
- Resolve any issue discovered during development or on customer computers using strong and completely verified solutions.
To be effective in this profession, you must have the following basic qualifications:
- Analytical Thinking: Demonstrates the ability to apply tools and strategies to analyse data, identify the main cause of complicated technical problems, and devise alternative solutions.
- Computer-Aided Design & Engineering: Understanding of specialised graphics programme tools and procedures, as well as the capacity to create, analyse, simulate, and test draft product designs.
- Product Design and Development: Understanding of construction products and the capacity to design, produce, and develop a new product from concept to production.
- Project Management: Demonstrated ability to complete complicated assignments, prioritise workload, and manage numerous projects concurrently. Superior organisational, communication, and presentation abilities are necessary. Willing and able to collaborate with international teams across many time zones.
Leading candidates will also bring:
- Previous experience managing cooling system design from idea to production.
- Strong understanding of Back Hoe Loaders, Compact Wheel Loaders, and Telehandlers.
- Understanding of engines and engine installation design.
- Depending on the quantity of applicants, the position’s requirements may be modified to ease shortlisting.
Job Title: Cooling System Engineer.
Salary range: £45,000-£54,000 based on experience.
