JOB SUMMARY
An interesting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Sister/Charge Nurse in Day Surgery.
L2 Day Surgery is a fast-paced elective unit that provides pre and postoperative treatment to 50+ patients per day from a variety of specialties. There has never been a better opportunity to join us as we continue to build our service and 23-hour routes to improve patient experience.
You will assist the Ward Manager in leading and managing the provision of care within the unit, giving a visible leadership presence. You will ensure that high standards of evidence-based clinical treatment are consistently met and monitored through efficient communication with all members of the multidisciplinary team.

Working as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide safe and efficient treatment on a busy day in the surgical admissions unit.
To work as a Clinical Specialist for the perioperative service.
Support training and development for all levels of staff, including the creation of a pleasant learning environment in which employees can reach their full potential.
To oversee the department and cover for the senior sister as needed.
To take on Bleep holding tasks for the Division to assist ward areas as needed to cover a 24-hour service, including night duty.
