Glass Studio Technician

This is an opportunity for a glassmaker or talented non-glass tradesperson to join a welcoming team of highly trained and experienced makers and designers. On a daily basis, you will assist in the production of unique glass designs for extremely high-end commercial projects, primarily in the residential, hotel, and super yacht sectors in the UK and overseas.

We can assist you with your relocation.

We can arrange a skilled worker visa if necessary.

WORKING HOURS: Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm. Flexibility is required, with options for time off and paid overtime.

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE: University degree in glass making/processing, ideally postgraduate level, or comparable experience at a commercial glass studio/works in any of the following areas:

  • Sandblasting or etching
  • Fusing
  • Casting
  • Laminating
  • Forming the kiln.
  • Painting
  • Silvering
  • Polishing
  • Brilliant cutting.

Daedalian Glass Studios is located in a rural setting three miles from the major market town of Poulton-le-Fylde, Lancashire, 30 minutes from Lancaster, 2.5 hours from London by the West Coast Line, and with good local bus services. We’re around 1.5 hours from Manchester, Liverpool, the Yorkshire Dales, and the Lake District National Park.

If you’re migrating, there are many of fairly priced flats and houses available for rent or purchase in the region.
