Summary

As Senior Programme Manager for the OE Product Value stream, you will lead a cross-functional team to complete all programme deliverables within the terms and conditions of the contract and business case. You will collaborate closely with supply chain, engineering, contracts, and other functions to ensure service, quality, and timeliness of objectives. In addition to programme execution to meet business financial commitments, there will be opportunities to play a key role in commercial negotiations with the customer to secure long-term pricing arrangements under FAR15 conditions and define the long-term manufacturing and services strategy for the product line.

 

Job Description.

Roles and responsibilities

 

  • All contract performance-related actions involving a client or programme. At varied degrees of seniority, act as a liaison between the customer and the internal business team, ensuring quick issue resolution, keeping the client informed of programme progress, and negotiating adjustments or solutions to difficulties.

 

  • Responsible for adhering to the business’s financial budget and working with the supply chain to ensure that we deliver on time to fulfil our financial targets.

 

  • Lead and manage the Integrated Project Team (IPT) to ensure close collaboration across functions, resulting in timely progress and deliverables, utilising Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) as needed.

 

  • Co-ordinate the essential business functions to provide timely replies to customer solicitations while employing strong commercial judgement and strategy to win beneficial commercial agreements for the company.

 

  • Lead the development of a long-term manufacturing strategy for the product line, ensuring that all technical, manufacturing, and contractual factors are considered.

 

  • Lead the development of a long-term product support plan for the product line, resulting in future profitable service revenue streams.

 

  • Uses a high level of judgement to make decisions and deal with complex activities or situations. Has the capacity to evaluate the quality of information provided and pose important questions to stakeholders or consumers. Capable of offering novel solutions to situations that do not fit within predefined parameters, as well as constructing and making recommendations.

 

  • Interprets simple internal and external company obstacles and suggests best practices for improving goods, processes, and services. Maintains awareness of industry trends that may influence work.

 

Required Qualifications

 

  • Significant experience in Product Management and Programme Management.

 

  • Significant experience working in the aerospace industry or a related industry.

 

  • Experience managing cross-functional teams in a customer-facing role.

 

Desired Characteristics

 

  • Effective oral and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.

 

  • Experience with NPI programme leadership

 

  • Experience with leading or participating in FAR15 pricing and negotiations.
