Hinchingbrooke Dialysis Unit is one of four off-site dialysis units run by Addenbrooke’s Hospital. It is located at Hinchingbrooke Hospital in Huntingdon. We are a nurse-led unit supported by colleagues from our multidisciplinary team who work offsite. You will be engaged by CUH in collaboration with Fresenius Medical Care.

The 20-station satellite unit consists of 18 operational stations and two isolation rooms, and it dialyses a mix of long-term dialysis dependent patients from the surrounding area as well as any of our regular dialysis patients who become inpatients at Hinchingbrooke Hospital.

Our shift patterns will be as follows, following consultation to open a twilight shift:

Monday, Wednesday, and Friday
6.30 – 14.30
Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday: 6.30-18.30, 11.00-23.00, and 14.30-23.00.
6.30 – 14.30
6.30 – 18.30
10.30 – 18.30

We are not open on Sundays unless the unit requires a service provision or if Christmas/New Year’s Day falls between Monday and Saturday.You can work flexibly across the various shifts listed above.Prior dialysis experience is preferred, but not required.

To support the Senior Sister in the general management of the ward and the coordination of the multidisciplinary team to provide a safe and effective standard of patient care.

To be a team leader for a group of patients receiving hemodialysis in a clinical setting.
