JOB SUMMARY

 

Job Type: Full-Time

Job Location: UK.

Location: Ayrshire/South Caledonia.

Main Purpose of Job:

An Access Officer’s major responsibility is to interact with clients in order to acquire access to properties so that work and polarity tests can be completed. Recording all access routes in UMV maps, as well as taking images and uploading them to the server.

 

Key Tasks and Accountabilities:

  • To foster, grow, and sustain a healthy company-wide health, safety, and environmental culture.
  • Responsible for mapping properties, identifying access routes, gates, and other agreed-upon work maps.
  • Liaise with landowners.
  • Allow access to private and public properties prior to work schedules.
  • Assess work instructions and allow access to all private and public properties.
  • Inform local populations of upcoming work (where applicable).
  • Handle any consumer concerns about completed job.
  • Keep a record of conditions.
  • Upload access photographs to the server and organise them into folders.
  • Take plant photos as needed.
  • Consult with key stakeholders during project implementation to meet project and corporate objectives.
  • Take responsibility for everyday work tasks as directed by your manager.
  • You will be able to complete all of the relevant documents.

Experience:

  • A minimum of 2+ years of experience is preferred.
  • Experience in the SPEN/SSE settings is an advantage.
  • Working knowledge with wiring rules and analysing engineering line diagrams.
  • Hardworking and dedicated to offering a discreet and professional customer experience.
  • Excellent communication skills are required to negotiate with external clients for permission to access properties/land for work purposes.
  • Customer focus; professionalism; honesty and integrity.
  • A positive and adaptable approach.
  • The “right first time” method.
  • A good awareness of health and safety practices.

Qualifications:

  • Full driver’s licence.
  • WI-1 is preferable.
