About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to:

  • Build and refine core Child in Need and Child Protection skills
  • Work directly with children, young people, and families
  • Develop co-produced, child-centred plans that reflect the aspirations and long-term wellbeing of families

You’ll work across one of the following teams (please specify your preference in your application):

  • Assessment and Intervention (Child in Need Team)
  • Assessment and Intervention (Court Teams)
  • Permanence Teams

Wirral Council holds a Skilled Worker sponsorship licence and welcomes applications from international candidates who:

  • Are registered with Social Work England, and
  • Require visa sponsorship through the Skilled Worker route

Please note: A Certificate of Sponsorship is not a visa. Applicants must still apply for and be granted a visa before commencing employment.

  • This post is subject to an Enhanced DBS check
  • Applicants must be able to communicate clearly and effectively in spoken English with members of the public
