About the Role
This 12-month placement offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience within the Contract Management team of our Power Business in Cheltenham. You’ll work alongside contract and legal specialists, learning how to manage risk, negotiate agreements, and ensure compliance across complex international projects.
You’ll be exposed to all key aspects of business, legal, and contract management, including:
Reviewing and assessing contract risks and business implications.
Supporting the drafting and negotiation of sales and supplier agreements.
Protecting intellectual property rights and contributing to corporate governance.
Assisting with board meetings, real estate matters, and compliance activities.
Supporting M&A transactions, monitoring legal changes, and conducting research and analysis.
You’ll collaborate closely with the GE Aerospace Legal team and global contract specialists, gaining insight into the daily operations of a dynamic Contracts department. There may also be opportunities for UK and international travel.

Qualifications & Requirements
 Essential:
Currently studying a Business, Law, or related Bachelor’s or Integrated Master’s degree.
On track to achieve a 2:1 or above.
In your penultimate year of study and returning to education after the placement.
Desired Skills:
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organization and ability to meet deadlines.
Proactive, curious, and eager to learn.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Collaborative team player with a positive attitude.
