Job Responsibilities:

The duties for this role include:

• Selecting, measuring, and cutting steel bars, rods, and wire to specified lengths; positioning and securing reinforcements; and applying tension using hydraulic jacks as needed.
• Laying bricks, tiles, and building blocks for the construction, repair, and decoration of buildings.
• Pouring and leveling concrete, preparing surfaces for painting and plastering, as well as mixing and applying plaster and paint.
• Installing plumbing fixtures, constructing woodwork structures and fittings, and setting glass into frames.
• Maintaining and repairing steeples, industrial chimneys, and other high structures; installing and replacing lightning conductors.
• Erecting and repairing fencing.
• Donning diving suit and equipment, and descending underwater to perform construction, maintenance, and repair tasks on sites such as oil rigs, harbors, and bridges.
