Overview
Verwood Pharmacy is seeking an ambitious Clinical Pharmacist to join a pioneering community pharmacy designed to focus on clinical care rather than dispensary routine. Our 325m² purpose-built premises, opened in June 2023, provide modern automation, four consultation rooms, and a highly skilled support team including Accredited Checking Technicians (ACTs).
This role offers a rare opportunity to lead clinical services, mentor a team, and develop advanced pharmacy skills in an innovative, patient-centered environment.
Salary: £30/hour
Working Pattern: Full-time preferred, part-time considered

Key Responsibilities
Clinical Leadership
- Deliver NHS and private clinical services aligned with your expertise.
- Lead specialized clinics and support service innovation.
- Maintain clinical governance and compliance with all regulations.
- Build professional relationships with patients, healthcare providers, and multidisciplinary teams.
Pharmacy Operations
- Oversee efficient day-to-day pharmacy operations.
- Implement and monitor Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Fulfill Responsible Pharmacist duties with emphasis on clinical checking.
- Manage stock and ensure safe supply of prescription, OTC, and retail products.
Team Development
- Organize, support, and evaluate staff training programs.
- Mentor team members in professional development.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
Business and Service Development
- Drive clinical service expansion to improve patient care and revenue.
- Identify opportunities for innovation in community pharmacy practice.

Person Specification
Essential Qualifications
- MPharm Pharmacy Degree
- GPhC Registration (or currently in process)
Desirable Qualifications
- Previous clinical pharmacy experience
- Independent Prescriber qualification (or working towards)
Skills and Experience
- Strong patient-centered approach and excellent interpersonal skills.
- High accountability and professional integrity.
- Competence with IT systems, including PMR, EPOS, and Microsoft Office.
- Enthusiasm for building and leading clinical pharmacy services.
Availability
- Full-time: Monday–Friday (08:00–20:00), Saturday (09:00–16:00) with flexibility required.
- Part-time considered if aligned with business needs.
