Job Description
About the Team
Our Finance Transformation (FT) offering sits within the broader Technology & Transformation practice, helping finance leaders redefine their strategy, reshape their operating model and modernise processes and systems to drive value across the finance function.
In parallel, our Controls Advisory service specialises in assessing process and technology‑led risk across organisations — from manual workflows to IT systems and controls assurance. We help design and embed control frameworks that elevate risk management, compliance and operational effectiveness. We also deploy technology to automate control processes, driving speed, accuracy and scalability.
Key Areas of Focus
You’ll have exposure to projects across a variety of domains, including:
- Assessing clients’ finance function strategy and redesigning processes, systems and organisational models to unlock value.
- Identifying and mapping IT/finance process risks, designing control frameworks and embedding control activities to meet internal policy, regulatory and assurance requirements.
- Leveraging technology (including AI, blockchain, automation) to enhance the control life‑cycle: from risk identification through to monitoring and assessment.
- Helping clients strengthen their IT governance, manage strategic and operational risks (including climate‑related, cyber, data privacy) and lead transformational change.
What You Will Do
As part of this graduate programme you will:
- Assist with identifying and assessing clients’ key finance & IT risks, and co‑develop strategies for mitigation and enhancement of controls.
- Support the design and implementation of IT/financial controls, including process mapping, system integration and automation.
- Utilise data and emerging technologies to address critical challenges (e.g., cyber threats, data privacy, organisational change).
- Communicate insights, build reports, support project plans — including scheduling meetings, tracking deadlines and preparing client‑ready materials.
Participate in internal initiatives such as graduate induction, practice‑management activities and people‑strategy support, which broaden your experience beyond project work.
What We’re Looking For
Academic & eligibility criteria:
- You must have achieved, or be on track to achieve by September 2026, a minimum of a 2:1 honours degree in any discipline.
- Legal right to work in the UK; if you require visa support, please check the firm’s sponsorship policy.
Skills & attributes:
- Analytical mindset, comfortable engaging with complex problems and synthesising information.
- Confident communicator (written and verbal) capable of presenting ideas clearly to clients and project teams.
- Highly organised and able to manage tasks, deadlines and multiple stakeholders.
- Interested in technology, risk management, finance processes or transformation.
- Eager to learn, adapt and develop a consulting career in a dynamic environment.
Work Location & Flexibility
You’ll be based in London, operating in a hybrid working model combining time in-office with remote work and client‑site engagements. The induction and early development experience will include face‑to‑face interactions to build relationships and learn from the team. Our workplaces are accessible and we encourage discussions about any additional flexibility or support you may need due to health or caring responsibilities.
Development & Progression
Your career journey will begin with a structured training programme covering the core capabilities of the practice (controls, risk, transformation, technology). You’ll then move into live client projects, supported by mentors, training resources and peer networks. Opportunities may include:
- Completing a relevant professional qualification (e.g., ACA or a Technology/Digital Risk MSc).
- Gaining certifications aligned to your area of focus.
- Progressing into roles with increased responsibility in controls advisory, finance transformation, or technology risk.
Why Join Us?
- Be part of a consulting team at the forefront of finance‑transformation and control‑technology disciplines.
- Gain early exposure to high‑impact, client‑facing projects and emerging technologies.
- Work in a collaborative, inclusive culture that values diversity, wellbeing and personal growth.
