Role Overview

We are seeking an A-Level Physics Teacher to inspire and guide students in the study of physics at post-16 level. This role involves:

  • Delivering engaging A-Level Physics lessons to motivated students
  • Designing and implementing lesson plans aligned with the national curriculum
  • Supporting student progress and academic development through assessment and feedback
  • Participating in the development of extra-curricular STEM programs, clubs, and initiatives
  • Collaborating with colleagues in a dynamic, supportive Science department to enhance teaching and learning
  • The position is suitable for experienced teachers or those early in their careers with strong subject expertise.

Candidate Requirements

Essential:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Strong subject knowledge in Physics; experience teaching A-Level preferred
  • Excellent classroom management skills and clear communication
  • Commitment to promoting high standards and continuous improvement
  • Ability to motivate and inspire students to achieve academic excellence

Desirable:

  • Experience leading STEM extra-curricular activities
  • Familiarity with innovative teaching methods and digital tools
  • Knowledge of assessment and progression frameworks for A-Level students
